New Like A Dragon: Yakuza Trailer Reveals Who Plays Majima
Goro Majima, one of the wildest characters in the Yakuza games, is going to be in the Like a Dragon live-action series.
Earlier this week, Sega revealed that longtime Yakuza character Goro Majima will be the main character of the upcoming game, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. And during a live-stream held earlier today, Sega's RGG Studio debuted a new trailer for Prime Video's Like a Dragon: Yakuza live-action series that not only confirmed Majima will be on the show, it also revealed who is portraying the character.

Munetaka Aoki will play Majima in the Like a Dragon: Yakuza series, which is only fitting because he's also voicing the character in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. The new trailer is very action heavy and doesn't really offer many story details. But it does provide a brief introduction to Majima as well as the other two leading characters, Kazuma Kiryu (Ryoma Takeuchi) and Akira Nishikiyama (Kento Kaku).
In the show's version of the story, Kiryu is a former Yakuza who is drawn back into the orbit of his former clan, as well as his childhood friend, Nishikiyama. The modern-day narrative will feature some flashbacks to Kazuma's past to demonstrate how his previous actions shaped his relationships and reputation in the present.
Prime Video has yet to release a full cast list for Like a Dragon: Yakuza, even though the series will debut in just over a month on October 24. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be released on February 28, 2025.
