Chappell Roan Reacts To Fan Using Nintendo DS To Take Photos At Her Concert
Well, that's certainly one way to get around the "no flash photography" rule.
Pop sensation Chappell Roan recently caught a fan taking photos of her live performance during a concert. But instead of reacting with irritation, the singer-songwriter seemed delighted once she realized the concert attendee in question was taking said photos via a rather unconventional camera: the one embedded in their Nintendo DS.
During a London stop on her Midwest Princess Tour, the DS-toting fan caught Roan's eye, prompting the singer to respond, "B***h, is that a DS?"

"You keep taking photos on your DS," Roan encouraged the fan. "You keep doin' it!"
Roan's commentary was met with cheers from the crowd. As for the Internet, opinions were generally positive, as it seems fans were unaware that Roan is a fan of the console (or gaming in general). One netizen dubbed the moment "iconic," while another asserted that anyone carrying around a DS in this day and age is "cool AF."
"I'm surprised she didn't yell at him," said one Twitter user, referencing Roan's recent verbal outburst toward a photographer at the 2024 VMAs (though in fairness, the photographer in that situation yelled first). Roan performed at the awards ceremony, and later took home the award for Best New Artist.
