Netflix Reveals The Most-Watched Movies And TV Shows Of 2024 So Far

Netflix has released its latest engagement report, listing the most-watched films and TV shows currently on the platform. The report ranks Netflix's small-screen offerings based on views and hours spent watching, and includes data from the first six months of 2024. The list includes some obvious winners, like the highly praised, heart-wrenching Baby Reindeer limited series, and Shonda Rhimes' well-loved Bridgerton (with the latter making the top 10 list twice).

But Netflix's rankings also include some surprises. Neither Rebel Moon Part One nor its sequel were particularly well-received by audiences or critics, but both flicks appear on the list of Netflix's top 10 most-watched films for the first half of 2024. Other interesting tidbits include the revelation that four of Netflix's 10 most popular shows in 2024 came from the UK, and the fact that content filmed in non-English languages made up "nearly a third of all viewing" during the first half of this year.

Netflix considers watchtime its "best indicator of member happiness," and according to the streaming service, subscribers watched over 94 billion hours of Netflix content from January to June 2024.
