Xbox Announces New Consoles, Including A $600 Special-Edition 2TB Xbox Series X
The rumored all-digital Xbox Series X is real and coming soon, alongside other new models.
As part of the Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft revealed a new piece of hardware, an all-digital Xbox Series X. It's the same Xbox Series X Microsoft already sells except it's white and has no disc drive.
In addition to the new all-digital Xbox Series X, Microsoft is releasing a special-edition Xbox Series X with a 2 TB hard drive ($450). The "Galaxy Black" model ($600), meanwhile, features a color scheme themed around a galaxy. There is also a new white version of the all-digital Xbox Series S ($350). You can see the new Xbox hardware lineup below; all three are releasing this holiday.
If these new hardware announcements aren't doing anything for you, Best Buy is currently selling the standard Xbox Series X for $100 off today, dropping it down to $400.
Xbox president Sarah Bond was on hand at the event to reveal the console and also tease that Microsoft remains "hard at work" on a next-generation Xbox console.
Also during the briefing, Microsoft announced that it will announce new controller designs and console wraps for Xbox Series X consoles in the time ahead, so keep checking back for more.
