For me, X is a huge turn off. Never was a fan of Twitter, either. I like Reddit and GS. Sometimes Facebook.

All of them are my least favorites, there's nothing really good on the internet.
I used to love Joystiq, 1up, and OG Giant Bomb with Ryan Davis (RIP) and OG GameSpot back when Rich Gallup was on.
I don't really have any apps. If you mean on desktop, I have a lot of work stuff and tools I made to help.
Favourite site: TVTropes. I just. Can't. Stop.
Favourite app: Steam. So handy.
Least favourite sites & apps: all social media. Xhitter, Farcebook, DickCock, Instafail and all the rest of them. One of humanity's great mistakes.
I'm actually really liking Reddit and I'm getting into TikTok. So I'd say those are my favorite apps.
X is my least favorite. I do like some of the people there, which is why I still use it. Though I dislike what Elon Musk is doing. Before Elon Musk bought it, there were still right wingers of course. Though now, it's a cesspool of them. And not just people who happen to be Republican, but it's a cesspool of the most disgusting racist, sexist, queerphobic, ableist, etc., people. I do recognize that no matter where I go, I'll see all types of political groups, religions, etc. Though we should obviously draw the line at gross extremism that actively wants to purge certain groups of people.
Don't like Reddits design.
Though it can be useful k/drama and c/drama otherwise don't engage with the community.
@DEVILinIRON: I think it can be both. Anyway I don't have any on my phone, I don't need apps for web sites I just visit the site. If I need to do anything else I use a PC.
I have a small drawing app on my phone, photo touch up app, a media remote for controlling the TV boxes and streaming from my TV box, and that's it. Nothing exciting or recommendable really.
I like Gamespot and Reddit. Google obviously has some issues but it is a good enough search engine for me (though if folks have alternatives I'm open to it).
Steam is one of my favorite apps, if we want to include that.
Surprisingly, Onedrive (Microsoft cloud storage) is growing on me. It's pretty convenient to have everything in one spot, and if all you're doing is documents it's a pretty generous set up.
Dislike pretty much all social media, even before the current political climate. I'm 40 and sort of aged out of Facebook, and never bothered to find a replacement.
Least liked app is probably Tencent-Epic Game Store. Screw epic, can't bribe me to use that lameass store that promotes forced exclusivity.
I'm only on Instagram as a lurker, I need my daily fix of food pictures and cosplay babes.

I love TV Tropes lol. I feel like they have an answer for EVERYTHING.
"Hey, what's that thing when the character does the thing that results in that other thing?" it's never too obscure for TV Tropes lol.
I guess I'd say my least favorite apps are ones that require an internet connection and refuse to launch/work without, apps that require permissions, apps that require an account, apps that need location turned on wasting battery, I think even to cast a phone to a TV, for absolutely no reason location needs to be on so I never use that.
I also don't like web sites that ask you to download an app to keep browsing, require you to create an account to keep browsing, or even suggest that you download an app for convenience. What's convenient is just to keep browsing the side without being nagged.
I like Youtube and Rumble. can find alot of content on YouTube by content creators I enjoy. Music, comedy, documentary, commentary, YouTube is the one I use the most.
I can't stand Reddit and redditors are some of the most pretencious annoying people to talk to online. I'd go shitpost on 4chan before posting anything on Reddit or talking to redittors.
But yeah youtube is cool

reddit is fun but avoid a lot of the really big subs
i use youtube so much i pay for premium. it's worth it.
i really dislike spotify but i pay for it. maybe not for much longer. might be a different story on ios but on android it breaks, freezes, spins... the tv app has a mind of its own and can just randomly turn on and kicks whatever you're watching off the tv. very weird and annoying. android auto is great, all the other apps work fine, apart from spotify. very intermittent.
i use twitter to learn about new work related stuff but not as much anymore. my home page has turned into tiktok, full of memes and viral shit. some of it is ok, but the vibe of the app has changed post elon.
i've used reddit for years. used to be a serial lurker but slowly started contributing over time. been going there for game discussion recently as gamespot forums are the most barren they've ever been for any in depth game talk. all the system wars stuff bores the shit out of me but at least there were decent game discussions to be had. can't remember the last time i saw a good thread with people discussing playing a modern game.
other than that don't use any social media, facebook, insta, tiktok etc

Yeah, that just doesn't happen here. Last time was the Tears of the Kingdom thread in SW, which was actually filled with discussions about the actual game. That was nice.
