Game Of Thrones Props From Jamie Lannister's Sword To The "Shame" Bell Coming Soon To Auction
You can own a piece of television history as hundreds of Games of Thrones props hit Heritage Auctions.
HBO's Game of Thrones series was a pop culture phenomenon, winning 59 Primetime Emmys, becoming a merchandising juggernaut, and ushered in a generation of kids named "Khaleesi." Replicas of various weapons and armor were sold throughout the years, but the time has come for fans to own their own piece of Westeros.
More than 2,000 items, including the "shame" bell, Jamie Lannister's Oathkeeper, numerous helmets, cloaks, and props are being distributed across 900 lots on the auction block through Heritage Auctions. The series of auctions will run through mid-October.
If you're not into armor or weapons, items such as dragon eggs from Season 1 are currently at $3,600. They would look great on a mantle or even a fireplace (just try not to get them too warm). If you're looking for something even more subtle, costume jewelry is also up for grabs, even props that didn't make the show.
In the unaired pilot, Daenerys Targaryen wears this pair of tri-headed dragon brooches. Fans might note that Dany eventually wears a similarly designed pair of brooches when she is first presented to her betrothed, Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa).
But for the go-big-or-go-home crowd, the armor worn by Conan Stevens, who played Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane complete with his swords is available for $10,000. The towering 13-piece set was designed by Michele Clapton. Clapton explained that his armor design was meant to reflect his brutal and intimidating presence. "We wanted his armor to be functional yet terrifying, showing his dominance and strength," she stated in the item's description.
Even bigger would be the melted Iron Throne prop used in the series finale. This daunting piece of art is over nine feet long and comes with special shipping instructions and additional charges will apply. It's currently sitting at $5,000.
