Star Wars has no shortage of iconic vehicles, but if you were looking for the best ground-based ride around the sands of Tattooine, it doesn't get much better than Luke Skywalker's X-34 Landspeeder. Essentially a hot rod with anti-gravity engines, the Lego replica of this speedy joyride has been marked down significantly at Amazon and Target. You can get this large-scale Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set for $168 (was $240), which is a whopping 30% discount. Target's deal, which was exclusive to Circle members for Target Circle Week, is sold out. If you're interested in this set, you probably shouldn't wait too long to buy it at Amazon. A bunch of other cool Lego sets are 30% off at Target, too.

Inside the box, you'll find 1,890 pieces that can be used to construct the Landspeeder, which will measure 19 inches long once fully assembled. It also comes with two Lego minifigures--Luke Skywalker and C3PO--accessories, and some other small touches. While George Lucas and his film crew needed reflective material, gelatin on the camera lens, and shadow effects to create the illusion that the landspeeder was hovering, you'll be able to achieve the same effect with a display stand.

It's worth noting that this landspeeder build is part of Lego's Ultimate Collector Series, so if you're shopping for an adult in your life who enjoys a cathartic afternoon of construction, this is a great option. A more involved build, the end result is a Star Wars vehicle that's full of extra details and looks terrific when on display. It even comes with a special plaque that can be displayed next to it, which reveals more data about the vehicle.
