The epic clash of former friends Optimus Prime and Megatron is part of the final trailer for Transformers One.

The previous trailers for Transformers One have played up the friendship between Orion Pax and D-16 before they respectively became Optimus Prime and Megatron. But in the newly released final trailer for the film, all bets are off. And the first battle between the longtime rivals is about to begin.

Transformers One is set millions of years before the Autobots and Decepticons brought their conflict to Earth. In this film, those divisions haven't been formed yet and D-16 has a brotherly relationship with Orion, even if they don't always see to eye-to-eye. But as their positions about the future of their home world, Cybertron, deepen, both Orion and D-16 are physically transformed in ways that leave them much closer to their classic counterparts in the franchise.

The MCU's Thor, Chris Hemsworth, is starring in the film as the voice of Orion Pax/Optimus Prime, with Brian Tyree Henry as D-16/Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1, Keegan-Michael Key as B-127/Bumblebee, Steve Buscemi as Starscream, Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion, and Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime.

Transformers One will be out in theaters this Friday, September 20. And as noted in the tweet above, Paramount is giving the first 300 attendees of Transformers One's opening day a limited edition poster of Shadow the Hedgehog from Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
