If you didn't see Galaxy Quest when it first came out, then you missed out on one of the best--and funniest--sci-fi films of all time. At once a homage to and satirization of Star Trek, the movie follows an ensemble cast of the fictional television show, "Galaxy Quest," who find themselves beamed aboard a real spaceship piloted by aliens who assume the characters they play on TV are real people.

More sci-fi Blu-ray deals

Galaxy Quest released during one of the best eras of sci-fi filmmaking, and if this sends you down a rabbit hole for late '90s and early 2000s space flicks, here are a few more movies to check out and add to your collection.
