Genshin Impact And McDonald's Will Pack Limited Items With Apple Pies Later This Month

No word yet if McDonald's is opening a franchise in Mondstadt yet, though.

Genshin Impact players trying to earn some free limited items will have to look away from Tevyat and toward the golden arches later this month, as Hoyoverse and McDonald's have announced a new partnership that will add two Genshin-themed options to the menu.

The promotion will run from September 17-29 on the McDonald's app, with all orders featuring limited-time food packaging with two fan-favorite characters from Genshin Impact--Kaedehara Kazuha and Beidou--displayed on the boxes. Players can earn special in-game items by ordering either a single Apple Pie or a McCrispy Deluxe Combo Meal through the app, and each choice offers different in-game rewards.

The Apple Pie option will give players three Golden Apple Pastry food items and the custom recipe, 40 Primogem premium currency, two Hero's Wit, 20,000 Mora in-game currency, and four Mystic Enchantment Ores. The McCrispy Deluxe meal, meanwhile, will grant the buyer a Wings of Delicacies wind glider item, as well as an exclusive Celebration: Crispy and Sweet name card.

Those who purchase the items through the McDonald's app will receive a redemption code for the rewards they earn at the email associated with their McDonald's account. A link to the official redemption page will also be included, and players must log in with their Hoyoverse account in order to redeem the items.

Genshin Impact is free to download now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. An Xbox version was confirmed at Gamescom Opening Night Live for launch on November 20.
