Lego Fortnite's massive Lost Isles update has arrived, and it's free for all players. In it, you can explore a tropical new landmass full of biomes, flora, and fauna never before seen in the survival-crafting game. But perhaps no feature is more exciting than the long-awaited return of Klombos, a fantasy creature first introduced in Fortnite's battle royale mode way back in Chapter 3 Season 1. You can tame Klombos in Lego Fortnite, which comes with some great benefits, though first you need to know how to do that. Follow our guide to learn how to tame the super-lovable Klombos.
Travel to the Lost Isles
First, you'll need to fast-travel to the Lost Isles map. To do that, you'll need to locate a Battle Bus Station. If this is your first time using such a station since they were added earlier this year, you should be able to spot one near your village easily. Just look toward the distance in all directions until you spot a blue glowing light.
That's the nearest Battle Bus Station. Trek there however you prefer and elect to fast-travel to the Lost Isles.

Find a Klombo
Once you arrive in the Lost Isles, you'll find many new sights and sounds. From the Battle Bus, you may spot a Klombo already roaming the land beneath you. If so, coast right down near them. Don't worry; though you need to tame them, they are neutral by default, so they won't attack unless you provoke them.
If you don't see any Klombos immediately, you'll need to explore the land a bit. A shortcut for this is to go into your settings and enable flying--which you can now do even in a Survival world, thankfully. Fly high above the treetops and mountains that may be nearby and soar around until a Klombo spawns.
Collect klomberries
A Klombo's favorite food is klomberries, of course. All over the Lost Isles, you should see klomberry plants growing. Pluck a few to stash them in your inventory, then equip them.
Feed the Klombo
With the klomberry in your hand, approach the Klombo and offer to feed them when prompted. The Klombo will immediately devour their favorite fruit and you'll have tamed them, which doesn't just fill them with glee; it also comes with some helpful benefits for you, too.
Klombo abilities
The Klombo's abilities mimic those you may have seen in Chapter 3 Season 1, when the (usually) gentle giants first appeared. Once they're tamed you can ride on their backs, letting you traverse the land much faster than on foot. You can also have them vacuum up nearby loot, and when they're moving at a full sprint, they'll even charge into enemies and do a bit of damage.
You can simply hop off a Klombo at will or elect to launch yourself off, which sends you vertically into the air like the game's geysers do. Just note the creature's stamina bar, as once it's depleted, you'll need to feed them another klomberry to get them moving again.
Here are the controls for a tamed Klombo using a controller:
- Mount or dismount: X (Square on PlayStation)
- Vacuum: Hold B (Circle on PlayStation)
- Launch Y (Triangle on PlayStation)
- Charge: Click left-stick
You can't bring Klombos with you to other maps in Lego Fortnite, but the sprawling new Lost Isles world should offer enough space for you and your hungry new pals to go on plenty of adventures together.
