Thanks to a megaton of interest generated by the recent Prime Video series, Fallout is hotter than ever right now. The original video games earned a devoted audience of fans for its combination of nuclear armageddon and non-linear storytelling, and if you're looking to experience these adventures for yourself, you can take a trip to the wasteland for cheap thanks to a few awesome deals.
From its humble origins as an isometric CRPG to the more modern era of open-world action-RPGs, Fallout in all of its various incarnations are available from a wide range of retailers right now. While you can save big on every entry in the series in one way or another, not every individual entry is discounted. It's also worth mentioning that some of the Fallout games can only be found at major retailers through third-party sellers or preowned at GameStop. (If you need help picking one, check out our ranking of the best Fallout games.)
That said, there is a one-stop shop for the complete Fallout RPG experience, so let's start there.
Fallout Bundle
All the mainline Fallout games and more in a single convenient bundle, this collection from Fanatical includes the first three games in the series via the Fallout Classic Collection, Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition, Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, and Fallout 76. You're not just getting the original games in this series, most of these games also come with all of post-launch DLC that Bethesda added--the DLC for Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Fallout 4 is substantial.
For example, the Fallout 3 GOTY Edition includes all the fun add-ons Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout, and Mothership Zeta. The retail value of this bundle is $140, but it has been discounted by a whopping 82% to just $25. Outside of Fallout Tactics, all of the games in the bundle have been marked as playable on Steam Deck by Valve, so you can take your wasteland expedition with you when you're on the movie.

This is a neat collector's edition of the games, with download codes for them housed inside of a replica mini-nuke that has working explosive sound effects. It also comes with seven collectible Vault Boy cards, as an extra touch.

Fallout 4
If you only want to play the most modern mainline. entry, Fallout 4 is the one to pick. It has an excellent twist in its story, and this $10 GOTY edition at GOG includes all of the expansions. That's a pretty meaty collection, consisting of Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, Far Harbor, Contraptions Workshop, Vault-Tec Workshop, and Nuka-World DLC, allowing you to discover new stories in your journey, perfect your settlement-building skills, and even take charge of a grim theme park.

Fallout 76
Fallout 76 had an infamously rough launch, but several years later, the live-service game is in a much better place. Thanks to years of tweaks, substantial patches, and lots of additional content, Bethesda's little slice of post-apocalyptic fun has grown in leaps and bounds since 2018. Set a few decades after the world succumbed to mutually assured destruction, Fallout 76 sees you explore West Virginia either on your own or with friends. There are secrets to discover, seasons of content to dive into, and a vast wasteland to tame in this thriving online game.

Fallout Tactics
While it's generally not as highly regarded amongst Fallout faithful, Fallout Tactics was still an interesting new direction for the series when it was first released in 2001. Instead of playing as a Vault-Tec resident sent out into a harsh frontier, Fallout Tactics casts you as a new member of the Brotherhood of Steel and tasks you with restoring the world to its former glory through the power of science and by whatever violent means necessary. A tactical squad-based RPG, there are plenty of upgrades, weapons, and skills to master as you journey across the wasteland.

Fallout
The original game that started it all, 1997's Fallout is a fascinating time capsule of old-school video game design. Sure, there are archaic elements present in its construction, but it's interesting to see the roots of the franchise and how it laid the foundation for other games in the franchise. Like Fallout Tactics, the original game is only available for PC.
- GOG (PC) -- $2.50 (
$10)
Fallout 2
Arriving just a year after the first game, Fallout 2 expanded on the ideas of its predecessor with a bigger story, higher stakes, and a fascinating non-linear storyline full of twists and turns along the way. A classic of its genre, Fallout 2 had heart and charm in its design, although it would be 10 years before a new numbered entry in the series would emerge from the vaults of time. Fallout 2 is only available for PC.
- GOG (PC) -- $2.49 (

Fallout 3
Is there any video game moment more memorable than Fallout 3 introducing your character to the sun-scorched desert of a ruined world? Bethesda's first entry in the series was a big hit, and established a new direction for future games. An ambitious and grand open world full of morally dubious characters, warring factions, and freedom, Fallout 3 still stands out today.
With the GOTY edition, you can continue the story with all five expansions. Operation: Anchorage is a virtual reality war adventure set during a pivotal moment of the Fallout universe; The Pitt took players to a wartorn version of Pittsburgh overrun with bandits; Broken Steel introduced some major changes to Fallout 3; and Point Lookout had you settling a feud in a theme park between a ghoul and a talking brain. Finally, Mothership Zeta saw you board a mysterious alien saucer. Yes, the complete Fallout 3 package has a bit of everything.

Fallout: New Vegas
Surprisingly, the Fallout game that many fans say is the best in the franchise was developed by Obsidian Entertainment, not Bethesda. A potent combination of new technology with old-school Fallout energy, New Vegas leaned on the classic RPG elements of the older games, added a sharp script full of memorable characters, and took players to a slice of paradise in a ruined world.
The Ultimate Edition sweetens the pot with four expansions: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road. This meaty selection of DLC sees you planning a casino heist, travel to Utah to settle a tribal war, survive a scientific deathtrap, and finally settle an old score against a fellow courier. Highly replayable and full of character, New Vegas raised the bar for the Fallout series.
