It’s already been adapted into a movie and miniseries, but King’s iconic ‘Salem’s Lot novel is rising from the dead once again next month. Max recently revealed that the new film adaptation is coming on October 3, starring Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, and Bill Camp. As you’d expect, several versions of ‘Salem’s Lot are discounted leading up to the movie’s debut--including not just books, but also movies and audiobooks. For a limited time, you can get a copy of the classic novel and add a second King novel to your cart for 50% off at Amazon. If you aren't already a subscriber, you'll want to sign up for Max ahead of the release of 'Salem's Lot's latest adaptation.

B1G1 50% off Stephen King books at Amazon

Many of King's best novels are included in Amazon's sale, including his most recent novel, Holly. Some of his short fiction collections are also eligible for the promotion, including King's most recent book, If You Like It Darker. Most of the books are discounted on their own, too. Side note: King's first novel, Carrie, is included in the promotion, but you may also want to check out the new hardcover 50th Anniversary Edition, which released earlier this year for $100 and is available for as low as $18 at Amazon.

'Salem's Lot follows two boys who venture deep into a New England forest--but only one returns. He’ll then set out to find what’s lurking within the woods and prevent the evil from seeping into his town. ‘Salem’s Lot was King’s second novel following Carrie, and it remains one of the best vampire novels of the last 50 years (it turns 50 next year).

A new mass market paperback edition of the novel releases December 24. This more compact edition of 'Salem's Lot has the same cover art.

For something that can serve as a centerpiece of your collection, it’s hard to go wrong with the hardcover version. It’s on sale for $24 (was $45) and features a haunting black and white cover design accented by red and white font. Consider pairing it with hardcover copies of The Shining, The Stand, and Night Shift, as all four share the same aesthetic and typescript.

Other notable discounts include the original 1979 film adaptation of 'Salem's Lot for $8, a three-book box set that also comes with Carrie and The Shining for $28 (was $57), and five-book King box set for $43 (was $60). You can also snag the audiobook for $15.75 (was $23)--but new Audible Premium Plus subscribers can use their first Audible Credit to snag the audiobook version for free.
